Bandy is a game played between two teams of eleven players on a large ice rink the size of a football pitch using ice skates. Players use sticks with a curve at the end to hit a ball past the opposing team's goalkeeper into their goal. All players, except the goalkeeper, are not allowed to touch the ball with their heads, arms, or hands during play. The winning team has the most goals after two periods, which are usually 45 minutes long.
